LVGC, LLC, the Club’s current owner was formed in 1996 and membership sales then began. The Club immediately became semi-private and by 2000 a new award-winning Clubhouse was built next door to the old clubhouse which was then deconstructed and a new cart building was built to take its place. The Club’s course and practice areas became fully private in 2000 while the Golf Shop and the Persimmon Grill remain open to the public.
As more members were added in the early 2000’s, the Club built a new Maintenance Building and made numerous improvements to the course including adding new bunkers, rebuilding old ones and returning parts of the course to a more natural, more environmentally sensitive state which has encouraged the abundant wildlife we regularly enjoy seeing during our golf experiences today. During this time (2003) LVGC, LLC also executed its option and purchased the course land.
The Club, while a mere teenager, enjoys a long and storied history, hosting numerous annual (Hale Irwin Memorial) and periodic ( 1969 Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship, 2016 US Senior Open Qualifying) Championships as well as being home to generations of Boulder area golfers.
